The updated evergreen guide uses official Nova Scotia, CFIA, CWHC and PHAC guidance: keep cats away from sick/dead wildlife, keep cats indoors especially during peak migration, avoid raw poultry and other raw animal products, report dead wildlife, recognize feline respiratory/neurologic warning signs, and call the veterinary clinic before arrival when H5N1 exposure is plausible.
